Maple Grove Approves Business Park Construction

Construction is expected to begin this fall on a plan that would bring a new business park addition to the city of Maple Grove. The city council gave approval on Monday night. The proposal, known as Arbor Lakes Business Park – Phase 3, calls for three new 2-story buildings totaling more than 530,000 square feet. They would be located on a 60-plus acre site in the city’s Gravel Mining Area east of Lowe’s home improvement store and north of Interstate Highway 94.

Former Nordstrom Employee Accused Of Theft

(Bloomington, MN) -- A former Nordstrom employee is now accused of stealing store merchandise and selling it online. The Minnetonka Police Department is saying Denis Palamarchuk (PAH-lah-MAR-chook) and his ex-wife are under arrest for the criminal activity. The department says about five-hundred-thousand-dollars worth of Nordstrom property was found during a home search. The items include expensive purses, shoes, and clothes. The two had over 200 listings on an eBay page at the time of the arrest, according to police.

Minnesota State Patrol helicopter co-pilot injured after duck crashes through windshield

A co-pilot guiding a helicopter for the Minnesota State Patrol was injured Wednesday night when a duck crashed through the windshield of the aircraft, authorities said. The co-pilot was hurt after being struck by the duck as the helicopter was returning to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area from southeastern Minnesota at about 10:15 p.m. CDT, the Star-Tribune of Minneapolis reported.

Middle School Principal Charged With Trying To Pay 15-Year-Old For Sex

(St. Louis Park, MN) -- A Savage middle school principal is under arrest and charged with trying to pay someone he thought was 15 for sex. 38-year-old Mohamed Selim was taken into custody Tuesday. Selim is the principal at Eagle Ridge Middle School in District 191. St. Louis Park police say officers from several agencies engaged in an undercover operation to arrest people who were trying to sexually exploit minors. According to the criminal complaint, officers placed advertisements on multiple websites offering prostitution services as part of the operation. Selim responded and texted with an undercover officer, who was posing as a 15-year-old girl. Four men, including Selim, were arrested during the operation.

A Minnesota Middle School Principal Was Busted In An Underage Sex Sting

On Tuesday of this week, several police agencies in the Twin Cities were part of an undercover sting operation to arrest people who were trying to meet up with minors for sex. Four men were arrested three of them were booked and released and one person 38-year-old Mohamed Ali Selim was arrested and is being held at The Hennepin County Jail.
