Expectations for "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off "Young Sheldon" were understandably high prior to the series beginning its network run back in 2017. Its predecessor was, after all, not only one of the biggest shows on television during its 12-season run, but a legit pop culture phenomenon (via The New Yorker). "Better Call Saul" is certainly among the more successful television spin-offs in the modern pop culture sphere. A prequel to AMC's breakout hit, "Breaking Bad", the legal drama takes place in the same New Mexico underworld as its parent series, even if its storytelling goals are somewhat different. Although the series features many of the same characters from "Breaking Bad," the central focus of the spin-off is on Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman) (Bob Odenkirk), a former small-time con artist who turns streetwise lawyer after working the mail room at his brother's law firm.

"Solar Opposites" has always been a popular show. When it premiered on Hulu in 2020 it quickly gained a loyal fanbase. It's also done well critically, and it currently holds a 96% at Rotten Tomatoes on the Tomatometer alongside an 83% audience approval rating. Given all this, it sounds like an animated sitcom about a family of aliens trying to get by in the suburbs of middle America is a solid enough premise.

"Chicago P.D.," a piece in the puzzle that is the NBC "One Chicago" franchise, follows the personal and professional lives of the Intelligence Unit of the fictional 21st district, led by Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Much like the other shows in the franchise, "Chicago P.D." boasts an ensemble cast that has changed throughout the show's nine seasons. To call "The Big Bang Theory" a television juggernaut during its time on CBS wouldn't quite do the series justice. The brainchild of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady took over the small screen like few other sitcoms have, enjoying a run that extended from 2007 to 2019 and breaking into the pop culture mainstream with relative ease. Family trauma is the game for the Winchester boys on The CW's "Supernatural." After the brutal murder of their mother, Mary (Samantha Smith), their childhood goes out the window. John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) raises his sons Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as soldiers instead of children, primed to fight the forces of evil. With such a dark upbringing, it is no surprise that "Supernatural" puts its characters through all sorts of emotional circumstances throughout its 15-season run.

One of the biggest things that separates "Ms. Marvel" from some of the other Marvel projects is the show's willingness to tackle uncomfortable, serious, real-world topics that might not typically appear within the superhero genre. Although the main storyline of the series concerns the struggles of Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) to control her newly discovered powers and protect the world from interdimensional beings known as the Clandestines, the series also explores some pretty heavy subject matter in regards to Kamala's own family history.
