Carlson '100% comfortable' with City water capacity, but diligence needed

The periodic, required process that involves inspecting the City of Crookston’s well-fields, located east of Crookston along Minnesota Highway 32, and monitoring their water output and other related data, allowed Public Works Director Brandon Carlson to update the city council this week on how things are going with the wells, and things the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources had indicated it would like to see done.

Two MN men facing murder charges after overdose death of Erskine woman

POLK COUNTY, M.N. (Valley News Live) - Two Minnesota men have been charged in connection to the overdose death of an Erskine woman earlier this week. 29-year-old Georgie Piatkoff and 43-year-old Andre Metcalf are each facing one felony count of third-degree murder in the case, and Piatkoff is also facing a second-degree driving while intoxicated charge.

Ag Innovation Campus: 'Full vision still in play,' just not all at once

Heavy equipment has arrived at the site of the Ag Innovation Campus on a 10-acre site on Crookston’s southern edge to start moving dirt. AIC Project Manager Jim Lambert says the scope of the project, at least initially, continues to be significantly impacted by spikes in construction materials, so the plan is to build the AIC in stages. Stakeholders are thinking it’ll be three stages, but if cost and budget-wise things take a turn for the better, Lambert said, the preferred scenario would be two stages.

Two men have been charged with third degree murder in the apparent overdose death of an Erskine woman earlier this week. The summer construction project on Fisher Avenue in Crookston by Draft’s Sports Bar and Grill is starting the final phases of completion.
