According to social media posts, she has undergone another operation to care for what were critical injuries to both legs. A McPherson man was arrested on requested drug and violation of a protection order charges after an incident that began in downtown Salina late Monday night. Officers were sent to Homewood Suites by Hilton, 115 E. Mulberry Street, just before 11 p.m. Monday for the report of a man allegedly following and harassing a 28-year-old woman who had a protection order against him, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said this morning. BUHLER – The Buhler USD 313 Board of Education Monday approved publication of a proposed 2022-23 budget that would carry a very marginal reduction in the district’s property tax levy. The published budget calls for a levy of 35.495 mills, which is just under 1.3 mills above the revenue neutral rate. A hearing on that budget and exceeding the RNR will be held September 12th at 5:30 p.m.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) - Authorities in Kansas say the owner of a bison was found gored to death the day after a sheriff’s deputy was injured by the animal. KWCH reports that Ellsworth County 911 received a call around 9 a.m. Monday from the aunt of 56-year-old Scott Schroeder, of Bushton, who found her nephew dead in a pen. She said she thought that a bison had killed him.
