LINNEUS – A Bucklin man has been found guilty by a Linn County court of sex crimes. Prosecuting Attorney Shiante McMahon says the jury returned Jaren Hooten’s verdict on two counts of first degree statutory sodomy after a two day trial. Sentencing will be July 5.

New bridge now open on Linn County Route 139

The new Lewis Creek Bridge on Linn County Route 139, approximately 1 mile north of Meadville, is now open after closing for replacement in February. This marks the fourth bridge completed as part of the Fixing Access to Rural Missouri (FARM) Bridge Program, a design-build contract that will replace 31 poor condition bridges across northern Missouri. Lehman-Wilson was named the contractor for the program.

Truck Driver Injured In Linn County Crash

A Russellville Missouri man had moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Linn County Monday afternoon. State Troopers report 53-year-old Fred J McKinney was northbound on Route M, north of Brookfield, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and ran off the road. His semi overturned and struck a utility pole and fence. McKinney was wearing a safety belt and had moderate injuries. He was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment.

St. Joseph, Mo – The Lewis Creek Bridge on Linn County Rt. 139 is the fourth bridge to be completed through the FARM Bridge Program. The bridge is now open approximately 1 mile north of Meadville to the public after it was closed for replacement in February. The FARM Program is scheduled to replace 31 poor condition bridges across northern Missouri. LINN COUNTY, MO – A Russellville man is recovering from moderate injuries, after A semi overturned Monday afternoon in Linn County. Missouri Highway Patrol says Fred McKinney, 53, was northbound on Highway M, three miles North of Brookfield, when he failed to stop at a stop sign.
