LFR, LPD responds to crash near 56th and Holdrege Streets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Emergency crews with Lincoln Fire and Rescue and the Lincoln Police Department responded to a crash near 56th and Holdrege Streets. A reporter with 10/11 said the intersection on all sides is blocked off to traffic. It appears two cars were involved, an SUV and a Sedan.

LPD cruiser struck in crash near 16th and K Streets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln Police cruiser was struck in a crash Saturday morning. According to LPD, A cruiser was going eastbound on K Street, approaching 16th Street at around 1:30 a.m. When the LPD cruiser went through a green light, another vehicle went through the red light and struck a secondary vehicle. The secondary vehicle then struck the LPD cruiser.

Catalytic Converters, Gun Stolen Near Lincoln

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says a man who was out of town for several days returned to find about $5,600 worth of property had been stolen. Sheriff Terry Wagner says seven catalytic converters were stolen from the man’s property at 1100 West Saltillo Road between July 23-28. Wagner says the thefts were not connected to the ones at the South Beltway construction site. Several catalytic converters were taken from trucks parked at the site.
