Hiott, the father of three daughters, has worked for Lexington County EMS and currently serves the military staff, civilian employees, and visitors as a member of Fort Jackson’s Emergency Medical Service in Columbia.

Educational Foundation Awards Health Fund Grants to Support Lexington District One Student Services

LEXINGTON, S.C 09/23/2021 - The Lexington One Educational Foundation recently awarded a $25,500 Health Fund Grant to the Lexington County School District One Office of Student Services to support the nurses and all students in the district. This grant will enable the district to purchase three additional vision spot screeners and flash drives for all of the devices that the district owns.

$600,000 grant for addiction recovery

The Courage Center of Lexington has an honor. The addiction recovery center is the only South Carolina organization to be awarded a $600,000 grant over 3 years from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The center helps Lexington County families of those addicted to opioids and other narcotics.

Lexington, SC 09/223/2021 - Lexington County School District One students who participate in afterschool programs housed at Pelion Elementary and Forts Pond Elementary can receive a no-cost dinner thanks to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The CACFP Supper Program is a federal nutrition program offered through the Department of Social Services.
