Kansas woman hospitalized after semi rear-ends SUV

GREENSBURG, Kan. — A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. Thursday in Kiowa County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a semi, driven by 43-year-old Jason Hindman of Preston, was eastbound on U.S. 54 when he rear-ended an SUV driven by 31-year-old Mario Garza of Garden City, who had slowed down and moved left for law enforcement on a traffic stop. Both vehicles traveled into the south ditch.

Western Kansas teen driver dies after collision with tree

STAFFORD CO., Kan. (WIBW) - A 16-year-old driver in Western Kansas has died after the car they were driving hit a tree. The Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Log indicates that around 7:35 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, emergency crews were called to the 100 block of NE 20th St. - about 2.5 miles southeast of St. John - with reports of a fatality crash.

The Big Well a big hit at the state fair, and throughout the summer in Greensburg

Visitors to the Big Well Museum in Greensburg often throw good-luck coins down the deep hole for good luck. Those coins are collected every so often, then given out as souvenirs to visitors to the City of Greensburg booth at the Kansas State Fair.
