Wisconsin woman arrested in Park City after speeding incident

PARK CITY — After a showdown with police Monday evening, a Wisconsin woman was arrested, and two juveniles were taken into protective custody. State police said a vehicle was observed traveling at 98 mph along Interstate 65. It was also weaving through traffic and passing other vehicles in the middle and right lanes of travel, according to an arrest citation.

Jury recommends 70 year sentence for man who murdered Big Clifty woman

A Radcliff man found guilty of murdering a Big Clifty woman has been sentenced in a Hardin County courtroom. After taking only 90 minutes on Friday to find 32-year-old Joseph Eugene Meredith guilty of killing 27-year-old Angela Dawn Kerr in March 2021, the jury recommended a sentence of 30 years on the murder charge, 20 years on the possession of a handgun by a convicted felon count and 20 years for abuse of a corpse, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

A Leitchfield man has been jailed on drug charges after falsely claiming he killed someone and dumped the body in a pond in Anneta. Sunday morning at approximately 3:50, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jason Luedke responded to the 2300 block of Bloomington Road after a woman reported to police that 58-year-old Richard L. Scott had told her “he had murdered someone and thrown the body in a pond,” according to the arrest citation.

The wife of one of the Elizabethtown Police Department’s Public Affairs Officers has been killed in an accident involving a plane at Samuel Field, an airport in Bardstown. Feleshia Denham, 37, of Glendale, was killed Sunday afternoon when she exited a plane she had been a passenger on during a flight from Elizabethtown. The Nelson County Coroner’s Office told news outlets that when Denham got out of the plane to change seats she walked into a propeller.
