Officers Locate Gun Inside Vehicle During Brooklyn Park Traffic Stop; 23 Year Old Man From Glen Burnie Arrested

A patrol officer pulled over a vehicle in Brooklyn Park and arrested the driver who was reportedly found in possession of a gun. On July 24, 2021, at approximately 6:45 p.m. the officer conducted a traffic stop on a white 2005 Acura in the area of Ritchie Highway at I-695. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a Palmetto State Armory PX9 AR pistol in a backpack on the front passenger seat. Also inside of the bag was a magazine loaded with five 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Police: Man Fatally Shot In West Baltimore Monday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in West Baltimore Monday evening. Police responded to the 1000 block of Mulberry Street for a shot spotter alert. On the scene, officers found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Shock Trauma but was pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives have not identified a suspect nor have they determined a motive. Anyone with information about this murder is asked to call detectives at (410) 396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866- 7LOCKUP.

County Police Investigates Death of Woman Found Inside Home Near Lothian

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found inside her home near Lothian. On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at approximately 3:28 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police responded to the 6300 block of Genoa Road in Tracys Landing for a missing person. Upon arrival, officers located the complainant who advised his girlfriend was missing and there was apparent blood located within the residence. As officers checked the residence and surrounding areas, the body of an adult female was located outside.

The family of a 16-year-old Maryland teen who was killed in a hit-and-run is reeling from her death as police continue to search for the driver responsible. On July 19, shortly after midnight, 16-year-old Jayden Baldree was riding her bicycle along Northpoint Boulevard when she was struck by a car from behind, according to a Baltimore County police statement. The driver fled the scene, leaving Jayden to die.

Shots fired in Annapolis hit third-floor window and two vehicles

Bail Denied For Severn Man Accused of Crashing Into Brooklyn Park Home, Killing One Person

Bail has been denied for the man accused of driving his vehicle into a family home in Brooklyn Park, and subsequently killing one person. Christopher Davis, 49, of Deerfield Way in Severn, appeared before Annapolis District Court Judge Megan Johnson on charges related to the impaired driving crash that killed 68 year old Gerald Patrick Keogh, Jr. Her honor ordered Davis to remain held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bail.

Former Alderman, Retired Annapolis Police Officer George Kelley Sr. Has Died

Former ward 4 alderman and retired Annapolis City Police Officer George Oliver Kelley Sr. has passed away. He was 64 years old. Kelley, a democrat, passed away on July 17, 2021, according to an online obituary. He served on the Annapolis City Council from 2001-2005. Kelley also attended John Jay Criminal Justice College in New York City before starting his career with the Annapolis Police Department in 1988. He retired from the department in 2001.

A Baltimore County man was arrested in Glen Burnie and charged with a handgun violation, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. On July 19, 2021 at approximately 10:04 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Audi A4 at Green Branch Lane and Winding Wood Road in Glen Burnie. The officer observed suspected CDS in the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm G2c Taurus handgun with 20 rounds in an extended magazine on the front passenger seat.
