Vincennes Police Asking for the Public’s Help

(Vincennes, IN) – Authorities in Vincennes are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect vehicle in a possible burglary. According to Vincennes Police, they received a report Wednesday from the victim who says a man approached her claiming to be with a tree trimming service and asking about cutting down a tree in her backyard. While the victim and the man were in the backyard looking at the tree, it is believed another person in the man’s truck got out and entered the woman’s home. She reported several items were taken, including jewelry. Police are reminding the public to be aware of people knocking on your door and saying they are workers. Ask for credentials when talking with anyone who approaches you. If something doesn’t feel right, shut your door, and call the police.
