On early Monday morning, a 19-year-old Port Orchard man suffered injuries following a crash in Bremerton. As per the initial information, the single-car accident took place at the intersection of Highways 3 and 304 in Bremerton shortly before 1 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that the man driving a 2014 Ford Focus was traveling to northbound Highway 3 from Highway 304 when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle.

Man from Mexico who allegedly brought 6 pounds of meth to Puyallup dealer is sentenced

A 28-year-old Mexican citizen was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court for dealing meth in Western Washington, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. Omar Arellano-Hernandez was sentenced to three years, 10 months in prison for his drug-dealing activity. The man had traveled to the Pacific Northwest from Mexico and was staying at a motel in Tukwila when agents arrested him April 20, 2020.

Man wanted for homicide in Pierce County arrested in southwestern Oregon

Oregon State Police arrested a man Monday afternoon in southwestern Oregon who had a warrant for his arrest from Pierce County for homicide. It’s unclear what homicide case the man is wanted in. Lakewood Police Department spokesperson Lt. Andy Gildehaus said the man was wanted for investigation of a homicide that took place Oct. 21 at an apartment near Montgrove Drive Southwest.

Self-proclaimed gang member sentenced for drug charges, violent carjackings

A Federal Way man was sentenced on Dec. 3 for drug charges and two violent attempted carjackings in 2019. Ivan Lopez-Ramos, 26, was sentenced in King County Superior County to 39.75 months for the attempted robbery and 12 months for the conspiracy to commit a violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act, which is the maximum with his criminal history set by lawmakers. The sentences will be served concurrently, documents state.
