Alabama's receiving corps took a bit of a hit this week. Nick Saban has confirmed that wide receiver JoJo Earle has suffered a Jones fractured in his foot. Earle is expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season. Saban said the recovery timeline for an injury of this magnitude is six to eight weeks.

Alabama WR JoJo Earle set to miss 6-8 weeks with foot injury

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Another Alabama offensive player has been sidelined by injury. Wide receiver JoJo Earle suffered a broken foot, head coach Nick Saban said on Wednesday. “The only injury that we have is JoJo got a Jones fracture in his foot in practice a couple days ago,” said Saban after preseason practice No. 6. “Those things are probably 6-8 weeks, so we’ll just have to see how it goes. But hopefully, maybe by Oct. 1 or something like that, he’ll be close to being ready to come back.

Metro Atlanta group accused of stealing $10K in diesel from Alabama gas station

PELHAM, Ala. - Officers in Alabama have arrested four Georgia men and one woman in connection with stealing diesel fuel worth thousands of dollars from a local gas station. Officials in Pelham, Alabama say 2,100 gallons of diesel fuel were stolen from the gas station between Aug. 2 and Aug. 5. The total monetary loss to the business is estimated to be around $10,000.
