The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Robert Hubbard who was arrested on drug trafficking charges, escaped the Knox County Detention Center while on work release. Later, a deputy saw Hubbard and 43-year-old Jessica Baker getting gas at a station in Flat Lick. When the deputy approached them, they got in their car and tried to hit the deputy as they were leaving. Deputies later arrested Baker and charged her with wanton endangerment, assault, fleeing or evading police and hindering prosecution or apprehension. On that same day, Sheriff Mike Smith got information about Hubbard’s location and arrested him. He was charged with escape and fleeing or evading police. Both were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
