It can be a little disconcerting when all of a sudden your phone, and everyone's phone you're with, starts howling and shaking and bellowing for you to look at it RIGHT NOW at the same time. DNR, Partners Celebrate Missouri Bicentennial at Missouri State Fair

The Womans Building will be the headquarters for Missouri Bicentennial activities at the Missouri State Fair Aug. 12 through Aug. 22 in Sedalia. Visitors can view displays of the Missouri Bicentennial time capsule and quilt. They can also receive a free Department of Natural Resources Missouri Bicentennial State Fair souvenir pinback button while supplies last. Official Missouri Bicentennial merchandise will also be on sale in the building.

Warsaw Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A Warsaw man was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday evening in Benton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1982 Honda CM450, driven by 34-year-old Brian L. Birdsong of Warsaw, was on Missouri Route MM at Quail Ridge Road at 6:30 p.m., when he ran off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Stover Man Injured in Morgan County Rollover

A Stover man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday night in Morgan County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2001 Chevy Silverado, driven by 33-year-old Kevin M. Chrisman of Stover, was on Highway 135, north of Wolfe Lane, at 9:45 p.m., when the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and the driver overcorrected, crossed the center line. The driver again overcorrected, and the truck started skidding and sliding. The vehicle traveled off the right side and struck a fence, then overturned.

YouTuber Takes On Mysterious Unsolved Missouri Murder Case

I'm an armchair detective. I think we pretty much know this. It's not a major hobby of mine or anything, but I do like to try to solve the mysteries as they go. I found a YouTube channel called That Chapter that takes on various unsolved crimes and explores the different theories. There was one case where our host found a very mysterious Missouri case that remains unsolved to this day.

Sedalia Police Reports For August 3, 2021

This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Monday evening, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Apple Tree Lane for a raccoon that was suffering from distemper and was allowing kids to come up and pet it. Officers observed the raccoon, and also believed it was suffering from distemper. Officers put the animal down by use of their duty pistol.

But she does a lot of great stuff for people with the Red Cross. She does Christmas giveaways, produce giveaways, and helps out fire victims. Four Killed in Cass County Crash

Four people died in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning in Cass County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2000 Peterbilt, driven by 59-year-old Everett E. Ashley of Lowry City, was on Missouri 7 at Route Z at 10:30 a.m., when it traveled down an embankment and into the northbound lanes of Missouri 7 in Garden City.

Reuse Vs Recycle: Where Do You Make the Distinction?

I'm a person who definitely tries to be frugal and also a person who likes to reuse things. I mean, that's a perfectly good plastic bag. And the dude at Wood's said they had to get some more from the other location. Why wouldn't I re-use it? It just seems like the thing to do. But is there a line? Sedalia Woman Injured in JoCo Rollover

A Sedalia woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Johnson County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Emmalee P. Smoot of Sedalia, was the driver of a northbound 2017 Chevy Cruze on Business 13 at County Road NE 375th, at 4:45 p.m., when she suffered a medical emergency and lost control of her car, which crossed the center of the roadway and ran off the left side, striking a culvert. The Chevy then crossed County Road 375 and overturned.
