KINGSTON, N.Y. — The 71-year-old man who city firefighters pulled from a burning Midtown apartment has died from his injuries, police said Wednesday. Lt. Man, 71, pulled from apartment fire in Kingston

KINGSTON, N.Y. — City firefighters pulled a 71-year-old man from his Midtown apartment after his bed went up in flames, Kingston Fire Chief Chris Rea said Monday. The man, whose name was not provided, was found on the floor next to the bed, Rea said. The chief said the man was hospitalized, but there was no immediate word about his condition.

Downed poles, gas leak, keep firefighters busy

HUDSON — Utility problems kept local fire companies busy Friday. Firefighters were on the scene of two downed utility poles in Hudson and a natural gas leak in Greenport. Crash in town of Ulster ‘looked worse than it was,’ fire chief says

TOWN OF ULSTER, N.Y. — Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Flatbush Road, Ulster Hose Fire Chief Shawn Heppner said Wednesday.
