Two from Cairo charged with robbing woman in Catskill

LEEDS, N.Y. — Two Cairo residents have been charged with robbery for allegedly attacking a woman and stealing from her, according to state police. John Prosser, 52, and April Cogswell, 35, are accused of subjecting a woman “to physical force” in her driveway on Route 23B in Leeds, part of the town of Catskill, on Friday, July 16, and taking personal belongings from her, police said.

VILLAGE OF FISHKILL – New York State Police are investigating a reported carjacking that occurred around 7:00 a. m. today in the village. State Troopers and Village of Fishkill Police responded to 1183 Main Street for a report that three black males armed with a gun had carjacked a vehicle.

Kingston police subdue apparently suicidal woman

KINGSTON, N.Y. — A 30-year-old woman was taken to a hospital after lunging for the gun of an officer who talked her out of jumping off a bridge, city police said Thursday. Officer Keith Dolan went to the Delaware Avenue bridge over Frank Koenig Boulevard (Route 9W) about 5:55 a.m. Wednesday because of a woman who “was walking in the roadway without regard to passing cars,” the Kingston Police Department said.
