Lisbon man who crashed in Griswold found hiding in woods at parents' house

MONTVILLE, CT (WFSB) - A man who fled from a traffic stop by state police ended up crashing his vehicle and hiding in the woods at his parents' house. The suspect, who was only identified as a 33-year-old man from Lisbon, violated a traffic law around 4:15 p.m. Sunday in Griswold, according to state police.

US Department of Labor cites two RI contractors for work hazards

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A federal inspection at a Warwick excavation site found two area contractors ignoring the risks and placing their workers in serious danger. The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration July inspection at a sewer installation site on 1129 Main Avenue in Warwick determined that employees of Reyes Landscaping Inc. of Johnston and TRD Contracting LLC in Greenville were allowing their employees to work in a 5 to 8 foot deep trench without cave-in protection. The employers also allowed soil to be removed from the trench and to pile up, causing some materials to fall back into the trench.
