A car crashed into a south Sacramento home early Monday morning, reports CBS13. Neighbors say the car was involved in a high-speed chase before the car slammed into the home. The incident occurred around 2:30 A.M. on Palmer House Drive. The suspect was in a high-speed chase on the street when they lost control of the wheel.

Two brothers from San Francisco claim that they have set a new record for the longest highline ever walked in Yosemite National Park and California. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Moises and Daniel Monterrubio and a group of friends spent close to a week stringing a 2,800 foot (853 meters) line across Taft Point west which has a series of ravines that plunge 1,600 feet (488 meters).

The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Warning in the Sacramento region which began at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 16, and will end on Saturday, June 19. According to CBS13, cities throughout the Sacramento region have opened up free cooling centers to make sure residents stay cool and healthy during the triple-digit temperatures.

A drone helped West Sacramento police safely find a suspect who allegedly put a gun to a person's head over the weekend, reports CBS13. The victim told officers that the suspect had held what looked like a black handgun to their head. They also reported that the suspect's behavior appeared unstable.
