The 2022 KIDS COUNT Data Book tracks and measures the wellbeing of the nation's children by pulling data from both national and local sources. DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Division of Health has announced three additional cases of monkeypox in the state. We’re told the three most recent cases involve a 42-year-old Kent County man and two New Castle County men, a 19-year-old and a 24-year-old, whose cases are unrelated. At least one individual confirmed close intimate contact with another individual, however, none reported close contact with someone known to have monkeypox. All three individuals reported close contact with a very limited number of individuals and are self-isolating.

Pandemic emergency shelter program will run out of funding by end of month

Delawareans living in motels as part of a pandemic-era emergency housing program received letters on Monday informing them that the program will end on August 31. Delaware’s Department of Health and Social Services had anticipated that the federal COVID relief dollars supporting the pandemic shelter program would dry up within the coming months, but Monday’s announcement offered the first concrete end date.
