Teen shot, two others arrested on gun charges after shooting at Salem park

SALEM, Ore. – A teenager is in the hospital and two others are facing charges after a shooting at a Salem park on Thursday evening. Officers were called out to Secor Park on Stockton Avenue South after getting reports of a youth who had been shot. Police started first aid and he was taken to Salem Hospital; officials say he is expected to survive.

SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) - A teenager was shot at a Salem park Thursday afternoon when the friends he was with accidentally discharged a gun they weren't supposed to have. According to Salem Police, officers responded about 5:15 p.m. to a shooting at Secor Park. When they arrived, they found a juvenile with a gunshot wound below the waist. He was taken to Salem Health and is expected to survive.

(KTVZ) -- The Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup on Friday completed its review of the federal process and has recommended a booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at least six months after their primary vaccination series for people older than 65 and people at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
