Rae’s Cafe fires back against Jackson County’s mask mandate

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — The fight isn’t over for a Blue Springs cafe. The owner of Rae’s Cafe filed a counter petition Monday. In the claim, the attorney for Amanda Wohletz argues Jackson County’s mask mandate is unlawful. It says there is not a local or state law authorizing the County Executive or Emergency Management Coordinator of Jackson County to issue mandates.

ESKRIDGE, Kan. (WIBW) - The Mission Valley School Board has approved optional COVID-19 testing for those identified as close contacts so they may continue to go to school. The Mission Valley Schools USD 330 says the Board of Education voted on Sept. 13 to approve COVID-19 testing for students and staff identified as close contacts. The program is 100% optional.
