‘You Deserve To Die’: Police Chief Unleashes on Father After Rescuing Baby The Dad Allegedly Tried to Drown

A former Greenwood, Missouri, police chief has pleaded guilty to assault charges related to the suspected attempted murder of a 6-month-old girl. According to the Associated Press, Jonathon Zicarelli walked into the Greenwood police station, which is a suburb of Kansas City, and confessed to trying to drown his 6-month-old daughter in a pond near the station. Officers rushed to the scene and found the baby unconscious and face-down in the pond. Her lungs were filled with water and she was reportedly suffering from severe hypothermia. The officers worked to revive her while waiting for paramedics, who then transported her to a hospital. The baby survived.

Man dead in Liberty motorcycle crash

LIBERTY, MO (KCTV) -- A man died in a motorcycle crash in Liberty late Thursday night, police say. Emergency crews responded at 11:30 p.m. to an area near Sunset and Forest in response to a single motorcycle crash. Crews transported a 39-year-old man to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to the Liberty Police Department.

A Platte City man in custody since March on drug charges has told authorities he rents out rooms in his house, choosing tenants who are addicted to heroin and meth. Eric G. Anderson, age 47, was residing at 200 Marshall Drive in Platte City when the Platte County SWAT team executed a search warrant upon the house last December. The Victorian-style home, which public records show was built in 1870, is recognizable to most who travel in and out of downtown Platte City, sitting near what is generally referred to as “the top of” Main Street near the intersection with Marshall Drive.

Blue Springs man faces drug charges out of Lafayette County

HIGGINSVILLE — A Blue Springs man is accused of trafficking and possessing drugs after a traffic stop in Higginsville. According to the probable cause statement, A Higginsville police officer conducted a traffic stop when they observed a 2001 Lexus traveling on MO 13 with a defective license plate lamp. When the officer made contact with the driver, James Fischer, to ask for his license, he could sense the faint smell of marijuana coming from the car. A records check from the scene revealed Fischer’s driving privileges were suspended and he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Ray County.
