BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An early morning fire at an apartment in Battle Creek Sunday is believed to be related to an electrical problem. Firefighters were called to Williamsburg Apartments on Wagner Dr. just before 2:00 a.m.. Smoke was pouring out of a second-story window. Ladders were deployed to help crews put out the flames.

Nationwide Manhunt Finds Murdered Dentist’s Suspect Son Just 8 Miles From the Scene

A Michigan man was arrested on murder charges Saturday, a day after Kalamazoo County officials charged him in the death earlier this week of his dentist father. Thomas Aye, 82, was found dead at his Portage home by a daughter on Sunday, and police said they found suspicious evidence at the scene as well as indications of violence inside the home. An autopsy named homicide as the cause of death on Tuesday, News Channel 3 reported.
