Motorcyclist killed in crash on SR 500 in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Vancouver on Friday night, according to Washington State Patrol. WSP said Shawn W. Stamp, 50, of Vancouver, was driving eastbound on SR500 to turn onto southbound Stapleton. As he turned, Stamp failed to negotiate the turn, struck the cement curb, lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle. Stamp died at the scene.

Woman dies at Horsheshoe Lake in Woodland

WOODLAND, WA (KPTV) – Clark-Cowlitz Fire and Rescue said a woman died at Horseshoe Lake in Woodland on Friday evening. Crews were called out on a possible drowning around 7:15 p.m. and when they got there they say witnesses had pulled a woman, in her 60’s, out of the lake. They performed CPR while they waited for paramedics who also performed life-saving measures when they arrived on scene.

Vancouver motorcyclist crashes, dies Friday on state Highway 500

A 50-year-old Vancouver man died in a motorcycle crash on state Highway 500 late Friday, according to a bulletin from the Washington State Patrol. Shawn W. Stamp was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson eastbound on state Highway 500 when he failed to navigate the turn onto southbound Stapleton Road at about 10:20 p.m. Friday. Stamp lost control of the motorcycle when it hit a cement curb, and he was thrown off. He was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene of the accident, according to the state patrol.
