I’m so mad! David Chang let the secret out about my favorite local restaurant. I’ve been going for years but now that it’s been featured on The LA Times, absolutely everyone is writing about it. I fear that it will now be swarmed, hungry patrons.

Mr. Meat is our neighborhood mascot and he warms my heart every time I see him. I first encountered him while taking a walk around the neighborhood. You can’t miss him. He’s a sizable pig, with shiny black fur, weighing in at around 90 pounds. When I first met him, he was unadorned but these days he’s often sporting a blue mohawk with feet and legs are dyed in ombre shades of blue and green or pink. Often he’s wearing a mini hat or gold chain. Always, he appears to be smiling, with his two massive protruding teeth.
