YOUNGWOOD, Pa, (KDKA) — Police say a man in Westmoreland County accidentally shot his downstairs neighbor. PORTAGE – Reactions to one councilman’s scathing social media posts escalated into a heated discussion during Monday’s Portage Borough Council meeting. Posting in the Facebook group “Portage PA Pride,” Councilman David Hayes said council approved $5,000 toward development of a proposed Mainline trail, which he said “has nothing at all to do with Portage but it will cover the towns that won’t pledge the $5,000. So the boro (sic) voted 6-1 to give this, your tax money is being used for other towns.”

Claysburg man facing more child sex charges

A Claysburg man detained in April for child sex crimes faces additional charges after footage was seized of him allegedly raping a 5-year-old victim, court documents stated. Richard Scott Sensibaugh, 35, was arraigned Monday by Magisterial District Judge Andrew L. Blattenberger on 59 felony counts after further videos of his sexual acts were seized from his phone following a warrant, the criminal docket stated.

Valley homicide suspects to appear in court Monday

Two men are charged with homicide in cases that remain under seal, but will be made public in preliminary hearings set for Monday in Washington County Court. The men are Sidney Devon McLean, 32, of McKeesport and Devell Dexter Christian, 31, of White Oak. They’re charged with homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and related offenses.

JOHNSTOWN -- Due to low numbers this football season, Bishop Carroll is seeking a co-op with Bishop McCort. The news was confirmed to 6 Sports by Head of School Steve Cotchen saying, "It's an unfortunate outcome for our current players and their families. We did all we could to try to increase participation for the upcoming year, but couldn't reach the level we needed." Cotchen went on to say, "I'd also like to express our appreciation and regret to the West PAC Athletic Directors who graciously included Bishop Carroll in their football schedule this year. I'm truly sorry we won't be able to fulfill our games on their schedule."
