Video shows group of 100 teenagers ransacking Wawa

PHILADELPHIA — Police are searching for a group of teenagers shown on surveillance video looting a convenience store and jumping on vehicles in the parking lot. The Philadelphia Police Department released video of the suspects, seen going into a Wawa in the city’s Mayfair neighborhood after 8 p.m. Saturday. In a news release, police said that the suspects began looting the business as well as knocking down and throwing things around the store.

A 14-year-old was killed in a quadruple shooting that erupted following a football scrimmage at Roxborough High School Tuesday afternoon. Another 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were also hurt in the shooting but are expected to survive. Authorities believe the shooters opened fire from a green Ford Explorer as the group was leaving the football field.

The Upper Moreland Police Department announced this week that its detectives, in partnership with Montgomery County Detectives and the Philadelphia Police Department, have arrested two suspects believed to be part of an organized retail theft ring that targeted area Lowes stores. According to police, the group is known to use U-Haul trucks to load large items when committing the thefts, most recently from the Plymouth Meeting location at the Metroplex.

Ambulance squad from Montgomery County heads to Florida for disaster response

LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) – An ambulance squad from Montgomery County heading for Florida left Tuesday morning. The Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale will be a part of a national network of emergency medical services that partner with federal officials for disaster response under FEMA.Their deployment is expected to last 14 days and includes one ambulance and a paramedic team."Typically, our teams can be involved with hospital decompression, moving and evacuating patients from hospitals pre-landfall and bringing those patients back post if there's no damage to those facilities," Chief Shane Wheeler from the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale said."I wanted to be part of the effort, the comradery, you know, generally people helping people," Captain Jay Hughes from the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale said.The Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale says this deployment will not impact the services.

Wanted: Suspects for Robbery in the 9th District [VIDEO]

On September 9, 2022, at 11:20 PM, the victim, a 32-year-old-female, was walking on the 400 block of N 19th St when she was approached from behind by 2 unknown black females when one of the suspects grabbed her by her hair and pushed her to the ground. Both suspects then began to punch the victim and ripped her pocketbook from her shoulder. Both suspects then fled and were last seen north on 20th St then west on Shamokin St. Taken was a brown pocketbook containing the victim’s credit cards, IDs and house/car keys. The victim sustained abrasions to her elbows and knees.
