Beaumont man accused of killing woman by setting apartment on fire has died in prison

BEAUMONT — A Beaumont man sentenced to 45 years in prison for murdering a woman by setting a garage apartment on fire has died in prison. Jefferson County Sheriff Zena Stephens confirmed to KFDM/Fox 4 that Ronald Goeloe, who was age 52 at the time of his sentencing, died at a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility on Wednesday. She says it was his first day at TDCJ since his sentencing in May.
