Woman Killed Near Roslindale Pharmacy Identified As Alicia Heywood

BOSTON (CBS) — Boston Police have identified the victim of a shooting that took place in Roslindale late last week. Alicia Heywood, 42, of South Easton, died after being shot Thursday afternoon. It happened around 1 p.m.m near Sullivan’s Pharmacy and Birch Street. Police said at the time that the shooting was not a random act. “I’m just horrified because I come here all the time, and it’s usually a nice, quiet area with nice, friendly people,” Carla Odaija of Roslindale told WBZ-TV on Thursday. There has been no word on any arrests yet. Police said anyone with information should call police at 617-343-4470 or 1-800-494-TIPS.

Body found in Boston hotel garage confirmed to be that of missing teen from Easton

BOSTON — An Easton teen who was reported missing last week was found dead Monday in a Boston parking garage, according to police. Emergency crews responded to report of a body in a parking garage located at 110 Huntington Ave. near the Marriott Copley Hotel just after 3:30 a.m. Monday. Hazmat crews also responded to the Huntington Avenue garage because of a report of potentially hazardous materials at the scene.

A Boston woman who went hiking in Arizona was found dead off of a trail on Camelback Mountain on Friday, according to local authorities. The woman, who has not been identified but is reported to have been in her 30s, turned back at the halfway point of the Echo Canyon Trail, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
