The following incidents were among those handled by Mount Pleasant Police Department and Central Michigan University Police Department from Nov. 7 to Nov. 12. MPPD officers were called at 3:20 a.m. to O'Kelly's Sports Bar and Grill to check on a 19-year-old man sleeping in his car. When officers woke the man up, he was visibly intoxicated. Officers advised the man to call a ride home and not to drive. He refused to get a ride home. Officers once again advised him not to drive home and moved to a different part of the parking lot. A couple of minutes later, officers watched the man leave in his car. Officers pulled him over and made him do a sobriety and breathalyzer test. He failed his sobriety and blew a 0.57. He was lodged in Isabella County Jail.
