ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Isabella County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a Wise Township man for animal abuse. The 48-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, is alleged to have forcibly held a 28-year-old woman from Harrison to the ground, fondled her and attempted to remove her pants. The woman was able to defend herself and leave the residence, police say.

A man who pleaded guilty to exposing himself to a female police officer and yelling racial epithets appears to have resolved his case through a diversion program. Andrew Leyden, 19, was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to one count of resisting arrest and one count of aggravated indecent exposure, both two-year felonies, in late May. Police: Shepherd culprit was on 2-day, 2-county crime spree

A 47-year-old Sumner man wanted for home invasion and stealing a vehicle in Isabella County has been arrested in Gratiot County on several additional felony charges. Union man accused of strangling man who loaned him money

A Union Township man was arrested Saturday for allegedly strangling the person who loaned him money and asked when he’d repay it. Deputies with the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office were called to a house in the 500 block of Ward Street shortly after noon on Friday by a 32-year-old man who said that the 59-year-old man he loaned money to strangled him when the 32 year old asked when he’d get his money back.
