I don’t readily recall the first time a met Cliff Hearn. I was very young maybe 5 years old or so. He was my older brothers age and a ball player. I use to tell him, hey you know how they got the name Pinto? As in the Ford Car from the early 70’s. He bit and said no. I said they stuck a Pin in my toe, they got PINTO. I know that was corny and silly but hey folks I was about 6 or 7 at the time. Needless to say from then till now Cliff has never let me forget it.

Tift County Schools issues mask policies

TCRD opens fall sports registration

TIFTON — The Tift County Recreation Department has opened registration for fall sports. Cheerleading (ages 5-12), football (5-12) and soccer (4-13) are available. Football has divisions for youth flag football and tackle football. Registration is $50 for each for Tift County residents and $62.50 for non-residents. The age control date is Sept. 1, 2021.

TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Second Harvest of South Georgia is holding another free food distribution beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center.
