RAGBRAI ends in Clinton, bicyclists felt welcome along the way

Twenty thousand people on their bikes finish the task, riding across the state of Iowa. A full week of RAGBRAI finishing up in the Quad Cities area. Those riders racked up a total of 454 miles on their bikes, through rain or extreme heat. The final 32 miles of the ride started in DeWitt and ended in Clinton, where there was a big celebration that had the whole town getting in on the fun.

ISU basketball players share first impressions of Tyrese Hunter

Tyrese Hunter arrived on Iowa State’s campus earlier this summer as one of the most high-level recruits in program history. During his first weeks with the program, Hunter impressed head coach T.J. Otzelberger with his competitiveness and drive to improve. Otzelberger also described Hunter as a "dynamic playmaker" and a "tremendous" on-ball defender during a media availability in June.

Top Iowa target Tyler Nickel has Hawkeyes in his top-five

The Iowa Hawkeyes have put the full-court press on Elkton (VA) four-star wing Tyler Nickel. On Friday night, Nickel told Joe Tipton that he has cut his list of schools to a final-five that included North Carolina, Iowa, Virginia Tech, LSU and Butler. As a junior, Nickel averaged 33 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game in a shortened season.
