Kickoff time announced for Oct. 9 showdown between Penn State, Iowa

Mark your calendars. One of the biggest games on the B1G schedule now has a kickoff time. No. 5 Iowa and No. 6 Penn State will kick off at 3 p.m. CT on Oct. 9, FOX announced Saturday. The game was announced as a sellout earlier this month. Now, the 70,000 or so fans know when they’ll need to be at Kinnick Stadium.

Kickoff Time, TV Set for Penn State Football at Iowa

Penn State and Iowa will kickoff at 4 p.m. EDT on Oct. 9 in Iowa City with the game airing nationally on FOX, the network announced on Saturday. FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” show be on site for the game, with the broadcast starting at 10 a.m. It’s the second time this year the Nittany Lions have been part of the network’s pregame show, which aired from Madison for the season opener at Wisconsin.

(Iowa City) The Iowa Hawkeyes erased a 14-7 halftime deficit and came away with a 24-14 home win against Colorado State on Saturday. A 14-point 3rd quarter turned the game in Iowa’s favor. They managed just 54 rushing yards in the contest. Spencer Petras went 15/23 through the air for 224 yards with two TD’s and one interception.
