Kourtney Kardashian changes last name to ‘Barker’ on Instagram

Looks like we’re keeping up with the Barkers now. Kourtney Kardashian officially changed her last name on Instagram Monday – after marrying Travis Barker in a lavish Italian wedding ceremony over the weekend.  The reality star’s bio now reads: “Kourtney Kardashian Barker ❤️‍🔥.” It remains uncertain if she has changed her name legally or if she plans to in the near future. Kardashian’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.  The Poosh creator has kept her original handle, @kourtneykardash, for the time being, though. Kardashian, 43, and Barker, 46, said “I do” during a fairytale wedding celebration at Castello Brown on...

Here’s what’s new in Instagram’s ‘visual refresh’

It’s not a new feature we wanted or particularly needed, but it’s the one Instagram gave us this week. On Monday, as part of what it calls its “visual refresh,” Instagram announced a new typeface called Instagram Sans. And while it seems like it was mostly created for the photo-sharing app’s branding and marketing purposes, the new font is also expected to show up in the app as well, specifically in Stories and Reels.

Instagram created custom fonts called ‘Instagram Sans,’ and some of them are truly wild

Instagram rolled out a big “brand refresh” today, which is mostly a fancy term for freshening up some marketing materials and making big hand-wavy statements about logos. And there’s plenty of that here, too. (Can I interest you in a long digression about illuminated gradients?) But there’s also one much bigger change: Instagram created its own typeface, called Instagram Sans, that it plans to use broadly going forward both in marketing and in the app itself.

Instagram rolls out a new typeface, slightly tweaked logo and more in ‘visual refresh’

The new typeface is called “Instagram Sans” and was inspired by Instagram’s logo. Instagram notes that the font was inspired by squares and circles, or “squircles.” The new typeface also includes multiple global scripts. The company says Instagram Sans is a contemporary remix of grotesque and geometric styles. Among the new fonts is Instagram Sans Regular, Bold, Light, Medium, Condensed and Condensed Bold. LG’s UST projector beams bright 120-inch images from 7 inches away

LG is getting ready to launch an addition to its family of 4K Laser TV ultra-short throw projectors. The forthcoming HU915QE is the company’s brightest offering yet, spec’d to produce a 120-inch image with 3,700 ANSI Lumens when placed 7.2 inches from a wall-mounted screen and a 90-inch image from 2.2 inches away. The projector’s prodigious light output makes it a compelling alternative to ultra-large 4K OLED and LED TVs, most of which top out at 88 inches before vaulting up to an astronomical price tier.
