On Thursday, Biden asked all states to start offering $100 to entice people to get the shot. Biden also announced all federal employees must prove being vaccinated against COVID-19 or face strict protocols, like masking and frequent COVID-19 tests. The new measures come amid a rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths in the U.S. The vast majority of those individuals with severe cases of COVID-19 are unvaccinated.
