Oshie's son shows off budding hockey skills

You’ve seen Sergei Ovechkin on the ice; now get ready for Campbell Oshie, the latest Capitals kid to show off his hockey prowess. The one-year-old didn’t have to run or skate, scooting around the living room on his hands and knees with a stick while his dad passed him the ball.

Kings Have Good Forward Options at 2021 Draft

The Los Angeles Kings possess the eighth overall pick following the 2021 NHL Draft Lottery, where they didn’t move up or down in the draft order. LA is known for having one of the deepest prospect pipelines in the NHL. The pinnacle of the pipeline is 2020 second overall pick, Quinton Byfield. Second on the depth chart is 2019’s fifth overall pick Alex Turcotte, who alongside Byfield will be a great one-two punch at center. Further notable center prospects include Rasmus Kupari, Tyler Madden, and Akil Thomas. The duo of 21-year-old rookie centers Gabriel Vilardi and Jaret Anderson-Dolan, who recently both nabbed a gold medal in the 2021 World Championship, provide the Kings with one of the brightest up-and-coming center lineups in the entire NHL.

Red Wings Opinion: Playoff Success Rewards Fans’ Faith

Though I desperately miss having the Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs, there really isn’t anything better than postseason hockey. Watching the Vegas – Colorado series has been such an enjoyable series to watch, and the end-to-end, fast paced game, especially the unpredictable element of game five makes playoff hockey what it is: impossible to predict.

Dater Column: Avalanche, like Sisyphus, Can’t Get Over the Hump

As Deano sang, “Ain’t that a kick in the head.” For the third year in a row, the Avalanche is out after the second round of the NHL playoffs. So much for all that “learning what it takes to win” and “maturing into a winner.”. I don’t really know what...

NHL Draft Eligibility: 2021 first-year eligibility. NHL Central Scouting: 5th (amongst EU skaters) Daniil Chayka is not the most exciting NHL Draft prospect to watch. His low point totals in Canadian junior, Russian junior, and Russian professional hockey over the past few seasons accurately reflect his lack of offensive ability. So, why do numerous scouts claim the Russian defenseman is worthy of a first-round selection?
