Triple Vehicle Crash in Annapolis Causes Road Closure, Major Delays

An accident involving 3 vehicles in Annapolis has caused the closure of a major road and significant traffic delays. On September 20, 2021 at approximately 2:15pm, emergency units responded to the intersection of Forest Drive and Spa Road for a triple vehicle accident. Two people were taken to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash. The condition of the individuals are unknown.

Man Charged In Deadly Baltimore Stabbing On York Road

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man was charged for stabbing a man in the neck on York Road Friday, Baltimore Police said. Officers reported around 3 p.m. to the 5200 block of York Road, where they found 59-year-old John Gillian stabbed in the neck. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. After an investigation, 39-year-old Robert Lee Edwards was charged with first-degree murder in Gillian’s death. Details have not been released on what lead up to the midday stabbing.

33-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash In Pasadena

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) — Police are investigating after a 33-year-old woman dies following a crash in Anne Arundel County Monday afternoon. Officers responded to eastbound Route 100 west of Catherine Road just before 3 p.m. for a reported crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Dodge Caravan was traveling east when it left the roadway before striking several trees. Witnesses reported prior to the crash that the car was being operated in a negligent manner. The driver, Tina Marie Brautigan, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

Police ID man fatally shot in Temple Hills parking lot

Police in Prince George’s County, Maryland, have identified the man who was shot and killed in Temple Hills on Friday night. Officers were called to the 4700 block of Barnabas Road around 9:30 p.m. Friday following a reported shooting and found 22-year-old Sejon Reed, of Fort Washington, in a parking lot suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Suspect In Assault Case Arrested And Firearms Recovered After Police Execute Search Warrant

WALDORF, Md. - On September 13, a patrol officer responded to the area of Hope Circle in Waldorf for a call about a dispute. The victim reported the suspect, who was not known to him, brandished a firearm and threatened to shoot and kill him after the victim asked the suspect’s family member not to pet the dog he was walking. Through investigation, the officer was able to positively identify the suspect as Kaleb Brooks, 25, of Waldorf. The officer obtained an arrest warrant charging Brooks with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and carrying a handgun. Brooks is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Police Investigating After A 36-Year-Old Man Was Shot In The Back In East Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating after a 36-year-old man was shot in the back in East Baltimore Monday. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Decker Street to investigate a shot-spotter. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Inner Loop of Interstate 695 in Maryland

LANSDOWNE, MD – Maryland State Police have identified the person who died following a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Baltimore County. At about 2:40 P.M. on Friday, troopers from the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack responded to a multi-vehicle crash, which occurred on the Inner Loop of Interstate 695 in the area of Hollins Ferry Road in Lansdowne, Maryland.

WALDORF, Md. - On September 16, family members filed a missing person report after not hearing from their sister, Marcellena Charlene Thornton, 42, since early August. Family members reported Ms. Thornton is under a doctor's care and may be homeless. She is known to frequent shops and grocery stores near Promenade Place in Waldorf. Her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Police blotter: Walmart customer pepper-sprayed in aisle

Armed Robbery – On September 18 at 9:09PM, officers responded to the Dunkin Donuts located at 8525 Rolling Rd. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the business reported to police that as he reentered the store via the side door, an unknown man followed him inside. Once inside, the man brandished a firearm and demanded money from the cash registers. The suspect then fled out the side door. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Police Identify Suspect Accused Of Stealing Cruiser & Jumping Into The Harbor As 41-Year-Old Andre Kirby

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police have identified the person who was arrested Saturday evening after crashing an allegedly stolen vehicle, jumping from the vehicle, fleeing, and then jumping into the Inner Harbor as 41-year-old Andre Kirby.  Around 7:30 p.m., officers tried to pull over a suspected stolen vehicle. The driver refused to stop, accelerated and hit several vehicles. Police followed the driver at a safe distance until the suspect crashed the vehicle at East Patapsco Avenue and St. Victor Street. The suspect got out and ran. The officers chased on foot until the suspect got into a patrol vehicle. The suspect drove off and bailed out of the patrol vehicle at Fort Avenu before jumping into the harbor water, police said. Kirby arrested soon after.
