Luke R. Howard passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born July 13th 1990 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg to Jon & Christina Howard. He graduated from Northeast Dubois High School in 2009 before attending Vincennes University, leaving with a degree in Heavy Diesel Mechanics in 2011. He worked for Dubois Co. Equipment as a machine fabricator.

Multi-county pursuit leads to ongoing manhunt

Several local law enforcement agencies are still seeking the individuals involved in a pursuit Thursday evening. The incident began late Thursday evening when an Indiana State Police Trooper from the Evansville District attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on I-64 in Warrick County. The vehicle failed to stop and the Trooper initiated a vehicle pursuit.

Richard E. “Dick” Clark, age 71, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 7:35 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021, in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana. Dick was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 29, 1949, to Raymond and Georgia (Bullock) Clark. He married Margaret “Magy” Schitter on June 12, 1971, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2013.

Helen Kathryn Neukam, age 84, of Birdseye, passed away at 5:35 p.m., on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born January 5, 1937, in Huntingburg, to Omer and Esther (Rohleder) Whaley. Helen married Carl Edward Neukam on August 14, 1955, in Birdseye; and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2019. She was self-employed and enjoyed collecting salt & pepper shakers, quilting, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Arthur L. Keller, 74

Retired USAF MSgt Arthur L. Keller – “Art” went on his final deployment August 27, 2021, with his family by his side. 
He was born to Luther and Lorena Keller on November 5, 1946, at Huntingburg, In. He graduated from Dubois High School and worked at Jasper Engine Exchange in Jasper, Indiana until he joined the Air Force in April 1966. The same year in November, he married his High School sweetheart Jane “Janie” Mimlitz and together they began an incredible 54 years.

Thomas Gregory Ferguson, Sr., 55, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born February 15, 1966, in Huntingburg, to Walter and Ruth (Vonderheide) Ferguson; and married Kimberly Silvis on March 29, 1985, in Huntingburg. Tom worked as a handyman; and enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Natasha Ferguson; brother, Kenny Ferguson; and father-in-law, Robert Silvis.
