Group 1 to buy Prime Automotive for $880M

Group 1 Automotive has agreed to buy Prime Automotive Group, a 30-dealership auto group based in Massachusetts, in a deal valued at $880 million. The Houston-based auto retailer said it reached the agreement on Sunday to buy substantially all of Prime’s assets in the Northeast, including its real estate, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Group 1 plans.
