One dead, 2 injured in crash in Rush

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Rush Lima Road in Rush on Sunday afternoon, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. An eastbound vehicle and a westbound vehicle collided on Rush Lima Road, also known as Route 15A, when one of the vehicles veered over the center line just before 4 p.m. Sunday, said Lt. Michael Thomas of the sheriff's office. Jenel Johnson, 32, of Lima, Livingston County - the driver of the eastbound vehicle - died at the scene. A passenger from the eastbound vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle were both taken to an area hospital for treatment. Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
