Man, woman in late-20s hospitalized after apparent stabbing on Wilder Avenue

Honolulu Emergency Services said two people were stabbed on Wilder Avenue Sunday evening. EMS reported that paramedics responded to a trauma call around 6:11 p.m. involving a 29-year-old male and a 28-year-old female. EMS said the incident occurred around 4:44 p.m. According to EMS, both patients were in critical condition.

Candlelight service held in Waimanalo, Kapolei for missing 6-year-old

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A candlelight service for Isabella Kalua, also known as Ariel Sellers, was held in Waimanalo and Kapolei on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. After Sunday’s search, the general public joined together for a candlelight service located at the Waimanalo District Park. A second service was also held on Kapolei Parkway — in front of the Ka Makana Ali’i Mall — for those who were unable to make it to Waimanalo.

Public’s help needed to find Keeaumoku Street alleged crime suspects on Oahu

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department and Crimestoppers need your help finding alleged suspects involved in a crime at a Keeaumoku Street store on Oahu. “On Thursday, September 2, 2021, at approximately 12:00 a.m., three males entered a store on Keeaumoku Street, took a small safe and miscellaneous items and fled the store in an unknown direction,” said Crimestoppers Coordinator Chris Kim.

Search is on for missing 6-year-old in Hawaii

The search for 6-year-old Isabella Kalua continues as authorities in Honolulu deploy search dogs, the coast guard and volunteer search crews to find the young girl. According to the Honolulu Police Department, Isabella was last seen asleep in her room at her Puha Street address in Waimanalo on Sunday, Sept. 12, around 9 p.m. local time.

Honolulu firefighters assist female, 64, who suffered head injury while hiking Diamond Head

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to the Diamond Head State Monument on Saturday to assist a woman who fell while hiking with family members. HFD said it received a 911 call at 9:01 a.m. Saturday with a request to help a hiker in distress on the Diamond Head Trail. Five units staffed with about 16 personnel responded and arrived at the monument’s parking lot 10 minutes later, and firefighters immediately ascended the trail while simultaneously establishing a command presence and landing zone within the crater.

7 people injured in Honolulu by falling branch of huge tree

HONOLULU (AP) — At least seven people were injured Saturday in the collapse of a large tree branch in Honolulu’s Waikiki neighborhood, Hawaii News Now reported. A large branch of a banyan tree came crashing down about 12:15 p.m. at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the heart of the popular tourist district, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services told Hawaii News Now.

Candlelight vigil planned at Waimanalo District Park tonight for missing 6-year-old

A candlelight vigil for Isabella Kalua, the 6-year-old Waimanalo girl missing since Monday, will be held at 6 p.m. today at Waimanalo District Park. Her biological family has been organizing search efforts since the girl, named at Ariel Sellers at birth, disappeared from the home of her adoptive family. Volunteers have come out by the hundreds to look for her in coordination with the Honolulu Police and Fire departments and multiple state and federal partners. Her birth mother, Melanie Joseph, has been searching day and night.

Oahu man, woman accused of robbing Nanakuli game room face up to life in prison

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A federal grand jury indicted an Oahu man and woman Thursday for allegedly robbing a Nanakuli game room at gunpoint. The US Attorney’s Office said 26-year-old Makoa Wilson and 30-year-old Jessica Lorrin are accused of committing armed robbery at an illegal game room on Keaulana Avenue back in July 2020.
