Indoor Public Access Suspended at City Facilities Effective Monday, August 23rd. In-Person Option Remains to Speak at the City Commission/CRA Meeting. In light of the spike in COVID-19 positive cases in South Florida and the elevated risk to public health, all City facilities, including City Hall and Community Centers, will be closed to the general public for indoor activities and recreation effective Monday, August 23, 2021. The closure will remain in effect until further notice. Customers are encouraged to use the many services offered online.

Bicycle Mobility Master Plan

The City of Hollywood has a strong foundation for bicycle mobility with a network of local streets that surround a vibrant, historic downtown, world-famous oceanfront promenade, and expanded urban core. The City Commission has approved a Comprehensive City-wide Bicycle Mobility Master Plan that will build on these strengths to create a connected network of safe bicycle facilities to provide mobility and recreation opportunities for both residents and visitors alike.

City-wide Stormwater Master Plan Workshop Recap

The Department of Public Utilities hosted two public workshops this summer to discuss the City's ongoing Stormwater system assessment and flooding mitigation plans. The workshops were an opportunity for the public to share their past experiences with flooding events in Hollywood as a way to help guide the development of the Stormwater Master Plan. Issues discussed included flooding, existing storm systems, water quality, low-lying elevations, effect of climate change, infrastructure and resilience.

Important Notice Regarding Impact to Solid Waste, Recycling, Bulk and Yard Waste Collections

City of Hollywood solid waste, recycling, bulk, and yard waste collections vendor, Waste Pro USA, has been heavily impacted by a recent surge of positive COVID-19 infections. A large number of WastePro crew members have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been forced into quarantine, which has resulted in service impacts City-wide. Until further notice, customers can expect temporary delays in solid waste, recycling, bulk and yard waste collections.

Get Help Fast using the "HOLLYWOOD CONNECT" App

The City has launched its new customer service platform, “Hollywood Connect,” powered by Rock Solid Technologies. The new application allows residents, business owners and visitors to report concerns directly to City Hall for resolution. The easy-to-use app allows you to submit service requests for code violations, potholes, streetlight outages, unsafe conditions and more directly from your mobile device. If enabled, your GPS and location services on your device will help pinpoint the service issue location – or you may enter the location manually. Once received, service requests are then routed to the appropriate department for attention and will be responded to quickly and efficiently. Users can easily track the progress of their service request, will receive updates throughout the resolution process, and will be notified once the issue has been resolved.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

The Department of Public Utilities has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for the area of South Ocean Drive on the barrier island between Jefferson Street and Iris Terrace due to a water main break at 1400 S. Ocean Drive. Crews are working to repair a break in a 6 inch water main in this area.

Notice to Utility Customers Regarding Past Due Bills & Water Service Disconnections

Notice to Utility Customers: Reinstatement of Disconnections for Past Due Balances Begins October 1st. Over one year ago, the City of Hollywood temporarily suspended its policy for service disconnections for past due balances. It was a way to help customers through a difficult economic time and to ensure water service was available for hand washing and other hygiene measures during the height of the pandemic. Customers were encouraged to stay current with their utility payments during this time if they were able, and to reach out for assistance in setting up a payment plan if they were not.

Public Access to City Hall & City Facilities Resumed. Online and Drive Thru Services Still Available

Welcome back! As of Monday, June 14, 2021, public access to City Hall and City facilities has resumed. Masks remain recommended for the general public and required for City staff while inside City facilities. In a continuing effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19, residents are still encouraged to use the City's online services to conduct business and utilize the drive through window at City Hall to pay bills and fees. The Building Department's QLess Check-In Service should also be used to reserve your space in line before entering City Hall.
