LOGAN, Ohio — The new Hocking Hills State Park Lodge is one step closer to opening its doors to the public and now, guests can now place reservations. Construction on the lodge began in July 2020. It is replacing the former day-use dining lodge that was destroyed by a fire in 2016, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

A Norfolk man was arrested on Friday after authorities say he kidnapped the mother of his child using zip ties and took her to Ohio.

NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk woman was kidnapped by the father of her child and taken hours away to Ohio, according to the Hocking County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said the Norfolk Police Dept. contacted them for help on May 20 when a woman was abducted from the city. The woman was reportedly taken by the estranged father of her child, whom she had a protection order against.

Hocking County – The couple accused of the death of a 2-year-old will spend 35 combined years in prison. The Sheriff’s Office investigation began on Friday, January 8, 2021 when a 9-1-1 call was placed by Neel stating that the two-year-old was not breathing. Through the course of the investigation, Detectives and Prosecutors were able to determine that the couple’s original story of how the child’s injuries occurred was not factual. They learned the initial story given was fabricated in an attempt to hide that the injuries were actually the result of an assault.
