Kidnapping, torture, robbery leads to three arrests in Geneva

GENEVA, N.Y. (WROC) — Three people were arrested Tuesday, September 21 after a home invasion, burglary, robbery, and kidnapping in the City of Geneva. According to Geneva police, an unnamed victim was kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and tortured Monday, September 20 night. Investigators say that victim was punched and kicked in the face and torso, beaten with belts and cords, and burned with a hot knife.

Minor arrested for sex crimes against children

ITHACA, NY -- Ithaca Police have arrested an individual under the age of 18 for sex crimes committed against two victims less than 11 years old. The assaults spanned the period of March 2021 through June 26. The minor was charged in Tompkins County Family Court with two counts of sex abuse in the first degree subsection three, and one count of a criminal sex act subsection three. Proceedings will move forward in Family Court and no other details will be released due to the age of the defendant and victims.

Police looking for two Southern Tier women for selling meth

PENN YAN, N.Y. (WETM) – Two women from the Southern Tier are wanted by the Penn Yan Police Department for selling meth. Stephanie Kelley, 41, is wanted for the Criminal Sale and Possession of a Controlled Substance on a Yates County Superior Court Arrest Warrant for selling meth. Penn Yan police said she may be in the Elmira area, as her last known addresses were in Horseheads and Elmira.

Planned Amazon facility in Bath delayed by traffic, infrastructure concerns

The planned Amazon distribution facility in Bath will take longer than expected to complete. Councilman John Lysyczyn said at an August town planning board meeting the Amazon project is behind schedule, citing concerns raised by the Department of Transportation and the facility would "likely" not be operational by fall as planned.
