A new check-in machine, the Automated Materials Handler (AMH) is coming to the Brookwood Library this summer. This machine is used to quickly check in and sort the thousands of items that are returned to the library each day. The current machine was installed in 2013 and has saved many hours in staff time, provided efficiencies to library processes, and allowed for items to get in the hands of patrons in a timely manner.
