Union County Public Schools made the announcement Sunday on the district’s Facebook page, stating the decision was made after Gov. 1-year-old saves lives through organ donation after dying alongside his mom in crash

HENDERSON, Ky. (KAKE) – It's been just over a week since a car crash that claimed the lives of two adults, a baby boy and two dogs. One man lost everyone in his household. Stephen Schaefer lost his wife, 24-year-old Braelen Schaefer, and their 1-year-old son, Weston, along with two corgis. WFIE reports Braelen was driving Weston and the dogs home in Henderson County, Kentucky, on June 4. According to state police, she crossed the median and hit an oncoming car head-on.
