Mercer County Sheriff’s Office Recovers Stolen Truck And Tractor

A Harrodsburg man has been arrested in relation to the September theft of two vehicles and tools. On Thursday, Sept. 29, Dep. Bill Cruce of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office executed two search warrants, recovering a 2002 Ford Ranger and a 1986 John Deere tractor which had been reported stolen on Sept. 4. Cruce said they located the truck and tractor several hundred yards in the woods off Central Pike.

Devine’s Remains One Of The Best In Nation

Devine’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch has been named one of the top corn mazes in the country yet again. The family owned and operated agricultural tourist attraction was one of 20 corn mazes selected from more than 500 across the country by editors at USA Today and a panel of experts. The selections were based on the quality of the maze and the variety of activities on offer. Last year Devine’s was the winner. This year they finished second.

Some houses are too far back from the road, some have the wrong numbers, sometimes mailboxes are not sitting next to driveway.

The Mercer County football team (3-2) got back into the win column with a dominate performance over the Western Hills Wolverines (1-5), winning the district match-up, 56-6, on Friday, Sept. 30. Sheridan’s celebrates 60 years in Versailles

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) — Known for its book production since first opening its doors in 1962, Sheridan‘s in Versailles is marking its 60th anniversary in October. Then-owner Randy McNally selected a 25-acre site to build the general printing and book manufacturing business, starting out as a 300,000-square-foot building with 23 employees. In its early days, the business also produced accordion fold road maps and atlases. It was also the first in the world to install an automated index machine, performing the cutting and labeling of thumb indexes in dictionaries, according to a press release.

Stafford Places Top 20 at D-III Preview

Jack Stafford finished in a tie for 20th as the Berry men's golf team finished in 13th place at the NCAA D-III Preview at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky., Tuesday. Harrodsburg Man Now Facing Federal Drug-Related Charges

A man from Harrodsburg, who was arrested back in May, in Johnson County, is now facing federal charges. 50-year-old Aristotle White was pulled over for going 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. During the stop, a police dog is said to have alerted on the car, which led to the discovery of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and two firearms.
