Sometimes, opportunity is created by a series of events that may be positive and negative. Such is almost certainly the case with Bridgeport’s Chris Carey. About this time two to three years ago, Carey seemed set. In his early 30s, he had a secure job at Mylan Pharmaceuticals on the professional front and he and his wife Erica were busy raising their two boys on the personal front. Things were good.

Single vehicle accident lands car on its roof

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A single-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 19 south of Clarksburg on Friday evening resulted in a car landing on its roof. According to the Harrison County 911 Communications Center, it happened just after 9 p.m. when a car traveling on Good Hope Pike, or U.S. Route 19, rolled over and landed on its top near the Sunny Croft Country Club.

Clarksburg man faces multiple charges after strangling woman

CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - A Harrison County man faces multiple charges after officers said he threatened and strangled a woman. Officers were flagged down on Wednesday by a vehicle with two people inside, including the victim who was “visibly distraught and had apparent redness around her neck,” according to a criminal complaint.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Kim Wygal was sworn in Friday as interim Harrison County magistrate recently by Harrison Chief Judge Christopher J. McCarthy. McCarthy and Circuit Judge Thomas A.
